Crip News v.19
Guaranteed Income and Artist Employment in NY
I’m excited to help spread the news about two major initiatives for NY-based artists to receive no-strings cash and job opportunities through a pop-up nonprofit called Creatives Rebuild New York.
Guaranteed Income for Artists will support 2,400 New York State artists with regular, $1,000, no-strings-attached cash payments for 18 consecutive months.
Artist Employment Program will fund employment for 300 artists working in collaboration with community-based organizations across the State for 2 years. Participating AEP artists will receive a salary of $65,000 per year plus benefits and dedicated time to focus on their artistic practice.
Complete guidelines—including eligibility details, application instructions, and frequently asked questions—are available on the CRNY website. Applications for both programs open today and the deadline to apply is March 25th at 11:59 PM ET.
Save the date for an information session for disabled artists on Tuesday, March 1st from 7-8pm ET. Please spread the word and feel free to reply to me here with questions.
