Outsider Art Fair
Returning to the Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan for the first time in 2 years, this fair again raised many questions about the distinctions between outsider and mainstream art. The long-standing representation of disabled artists at the fair continued this year with artists from Creative Growth Art Center (Oakland), Fountain House (New York), Creativity Explored (San Francisco), Center for Creative Works (Philadelphia), LAND (New York), Project Onward (Chicago), SAGE Studio (Austin), Tierra del Sol Gallery (Los Angeles) and newcomers Arts for Life (Chicago) and ArTech Collective (New York).
Genderqueercrip Drag Artistry
Willow Pill, a contestant on the current season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, elaborated on the ways her disabilities and chronic illness affects her gender identity.
